Cake Smash

 Today we had a photoshoot with the same photographer that did our Christmas card photos last year when Zachary was one month old. Today we did 1st birthday pictures. One week from today Zachary will be ONE year old.

 Zachary can take 3-4 steps on his own and love to stand. His favorite thing to do it use his ride on wagon and hold on to it and walk across the room.

 Connor and Ryan always say Zachary is the "cutest one in our family" and they are right. He is a cutie.

 Connor and Ryan had fun getting their picture taken, but were disappointed there were no trees to climb like last year.

Zachary is always full of smiles.  

 Ooooh, a cake? What is this?

 He warmed up to the cake much quicker than Connor and Ryan did at this age. They wouldn't touch it because they didn't like getting their hands dirty. Zachary didn't have that problem at all.

 Zachary had to give the evil eye a few times if someone got too close to HIS cake.

 HEY! What are you doing Connor? That is MY cake.

What are you doing? I didn't say you could have that.

Moss Beach Tide Pools

Today we went to Half Moon Bay to Moss Beach where there are tide pools. Low tide was at 2:21pm, so we got there a little before low tide. The below picture is of Connor walking to the beach. Is it just me or if my little boy BIG! When did Connor get so grown up?

 Looking for crabs and other fun things.

 Zachary had fun splashing in the water.

 I love this face. Zachary found a hermit crab and he is trying to figure out what it is. This is JUST before he put the crab in his mouth to eat it. He was NOT happy with Mommy when she took it out of his mouth. No fair!

 Zachary was doing the same thing when we were in the sand. He would find a good size rock (a rock about the same size as the hermit crab) and stick it in his mouth. He didn't like it when I kept taking rocks out of his mouth or out of his hand right before they got in the mouth. It was also past naptime, so life was just not fair.

Great America

We went to Great America with another family from school. It was Connor, Ryan and Zachary's first time. And, Zachary's very first amusement park ride was the carousel. He was a trooper. Connor and Ryan went on their first upside down roller coaster and loved it.

John and Victoria's Wedding

John and Victoria got married on August 4th in Arroyo Grande.

 The PRINCESS! So pretty.

 Zachary had fun crawling all around.

 Zachary enjoyed playing with sunglasses while we watched the ceremony.

 Busy day. Zachary crashed at dinner.

 But woke up for dancing with mama.

 Ryan danced with me too. Connor was hiding in Grandma and Grandpa's room watching Olympics with Cody.

 I think this is the "not another picture" look.

Diva Picnic

Today was the Red Power Diva annual Family Picnic. Tons of fun and games.

The kids had fun playing relay races and teamwork games.

 Zachary had fun watching everyone and crawling all around.

 And exploring everything he could.

There was a watermelon eating contest. 

 Zachary loved his watermelon. Future watermelon contest winner right here!
