...and then watched their favorite (and only) video
For dinner I made Mac-n-Cheese, which they refused to eat (picky, picky, picky...), so they ate grapes and cheerios for dinner. I made them each a cupcake with 2 candles each.
They just stared at the glowing candles in awe, they didn't even try to touch the fire. We "helped" them blow out the candles, then they both started to cry because they liked the candles. So, we had to keep re-lighting the candles for them. When they finally let us take the candles away, Ryan just pushed the cupcake away, not wanting to have anything to do with it. Connor, after a lot of hesitation, picked it up and tried it. He then spit it out and started screaming because his hands were all dirty from the frosting. I have never known any other kids that were so afraid of getting their hands dirty. We took the top off the cupcake and then it was ok. Ryan decided he could try the non-frosted cupcake too after watching Connor. They finished the cupcake and started crying again (!!!) because they wanted another one. Such drama! I guess I will have to make them some frosting-less cupcakes for their party on Saturday so they will be happy ... maybe.
