It's our BIRTHDAY!

Today Connor and Ryan turned TWO years old! Can you believe it. Time sure does fly. When they got home today they colored for a bit .
...and then watched their favorite (and only) video
For dinner I made Mac-n-Cheese, which they refused to eat (picky, picky, picky...), so they ate grapes and cheerios for dinner. I made them each a cupcake with 2 candles each.
They just stared at the glowing candles in awe, they didn't even try to touch the fire. We "helped" them blow out the candles, then they both started to cry because they liked the candles. So, we had to keep re-lighting the candles for them. When they finally let us take the candles away, Ryan just pushed the cupcake away, not wanting to have anything to do with it. Connor, after a lot of hesitation, picked it up and tried it. He then spit it out and started screaming because his hands were all dirty from the frosting. I have never known any other kids that were so afraid of getting their hands dirty. We took the top off the cupcake and then it was ok. Ryan decided he could try the non-frosted cupcake too after watching Connor. They finished the cupcake and started crying again (!!!) because they wanted another one. Such drama! I guess I will have to make them some frosting-less cupcakes for their party on Saturday so they will be happy ... maybe.

Vvrrrrrroooooommmm....

Connor and Ryan had fun riding their trikes today. They are sure enjoying this warm weather and the time change that allows them to play outside longer in the evening.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Connor and Ryan enjoyed swinging on our porch swing today. The whole time they were swinging, they kept saying "whee, whee, whee." I guess the sound effects make it more fun.

Mr. Potato Heads

Connor and Ryan decided to play with their Mr. Potato Heads tonight. They were concentrating so hard at putting the different pieces in, and then they complained when they had left over pieces. They just didn't understand that they have multiple mouth pieces to be changed out and that all the pieces don't need to go on at the same time. They decided that it was fun wearing the Mr. Potato Head glasses. Ryan is wearing the glasses on one of the below pictures.

Snow

Today we took Connor and Ryan for their first trip to the snow. We left at 6am and got to Leland Snow Park at 9am. The boys had fun playing in the snow, but it didn't take long before they were tired of the continuous falling down on the snow. After a couple hours the boys were ready to go home, so we left around 11:30am and got back home around 4pm (after a couple stops). It was a fun (although, long) day.
