It was a hot day on Saturday when we went to the park. Connor went down the slide only to discover it was hot to sit on. I had to lift him off half way down because it was too hot. He asked Daddy to go down the slide with him to protect him from the hot slide.
Ryan went down the slide just fine. He just made sure to keep his legs and arms up while he went down.
As we walked back to Grandma and Grandpa's house from the park, Connor and Ryan picked all the weed flowers to give to Grandma. They would pick flowers, then put them in their pocket so they could pick more. Grandma was thrilled with the flowers, or at least she pretended to :)

*Fireworks*
Connor and Ryan saw their first fireworks up close for the 4th of July.
We spent the holiday in Rohnert Park, where they still allow personal fireworks. Connor and Ryan were excited all day about the fireworks and kept telling everyone that they get to see fireworks when it got dark. At first the loud booms of the illegal fireworks scared Ryan, and both Connor and Ryan had to sit on Mommy's lap when the fireworks first started. But, after they got warmed up to them, they loved them. They especially loved the sparklers!
I was experimenting with the firework and night settings on my camera, so the below two pictures look kind of "ghostly."
We had a fun 4th of July! We had so much fun that ALL of us slept in until 9:30 the next morning.
