Steve's visit

Steve came to visit us at the end of September.
Steve bought Connor and Ryan some Berenstein Bear books which the boys just love.
Steve also helped Connor and Ryan build their train tracks and all three of the boys were having fun playing trains.

Playdate with David and Bryan

Today Connor and Ryan had a playdate with David and Bryan at De Anza Park in Sunnyvale.
Everyone had a great time.
We had a picnic lunch at the park.
Janelle brought balloons that fly across the field, so all the kids had fun (and got tired out) running across the field to fetch the balloons over and over again.

Painting

This morning, our little artists made some fingerpaint and paintbrush creations. Below is Connor concentrating on his artwork.

Below is Ryan perfecting his art.
And, Ryan is showing off his colorful hands.Ryan is proud of his masterpiece.
And Connor is just as artistic. Maybe this will be worth millions some day. After Connor and Ryan were done making their messes with fingerpaints, they wanted to paint with paintbrushes too.

Tricycles

Connor and Ryan love riding their tricycles. Below are pictures of them riding them to the park today.

Hint: Connor is wearing the red shirt and Ryan is in the grey shirt.

Pool Time

It was a hot day today, so Connor and Ryan played in their pool.
They enjoyed jumping off the step into the water the most.

Below is Connor, when he was cold and ready to go inside for a warm bath.
Here is a video of playtime in the pool.

San Francisco

For Labor Day weekend, we spent the weekend in San Francisco at the Marriott. The weekend was fun, not quite "as planned", but what can you expect with two 3 year old. On Saturday we walked to the train station then rode the train to the city. Below are pictures of Connor and Ryan on the train (Ryan is wearing red and Connor is in yellow, if you need some help).

After we checked in to the hotel, we walked to lunch. We were going to go to Golden Gate Park, but the boys were obviously in need of a nap, so once we got back to the hotel, I had the boys lay down and they fell asleep immediately. While we were going to lunch, the boys saw the boat/car tour (quackers tour that goes on land and water, so it looks like a boat and car at the same time). We were going to do that instead of the park, but the boys slept too long, so we didn't have time to do the tour.

Instead we were going to walk to fisherman's wharf to have dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. While we were walking through China Town, Connor threw up ALL over himself, Ryan, and the stroller. Neither Connor or Ryan were happy with the mess all over their their shirt, sweatshirt, pants, shoes, and stroller. And they definitely didn't want to sit in the stroller again until it was cleaned up (can't blame them for that). Luckily, we were in China Town, so shirts were cheap, so we bought them both new shirts to wear and took off their dirty shirts and pants, so it looked like they were walking around in nightgown shirts (the shirts were kind of big on them, but it worked since they weren't wearing any pants with them). We turned around, and walked back to the hotel to get cleaned up then ended up going to dinner closer to the hotel. We went swimming that evening, and after swimming and a bath, Connor still smelled bad from the throw up. After that one episode, he was fine, so I am not sure what was wrong.

On Sunday we went to the SF Zoo. Below is a picture or Connor and Ryan sitting on a bear at the zoo. The boys liked the zoo. After the Zoo, we walked to Ocean Beach, but the beach was too windy to actually go on the beach. We were getting sand blasted just walking near it.
That night we decided to try the Rainforest Cafe again and we made it that time. The Rainforest Cafe is decorated like a rainforest with lots of animals. Below is a picture of the boys looking at an elephant as we were waiting to be seated.

We were in a section that had a river next to our table, snakes, butterflies, monkeys, stars and moon above us with shooting stars going every couple seconds. Every 20 minutes or so, there is a thunderstorm in the rainforest. By the end of the night, Connor decided the thunderstorms were "so scary". Below is a picture of Connor's expression when the thunderstorms started in the restaurant.

There was also a large frog that walked around to meet everyone and the boys got their picture with the frog, ChaCha.

We bought them a new sweatshirt for the walk back to the hotel since the only sweatshirt we brought for them was puked on the day before. On Monday, we rode the train home, walked home, then the boys took a nap.
