Halloween

Happy Halloween! This year we had a fireman, police man, and monkey.

It is Zachary's first Halloween and the below picture was taken at 1 month old.

I thought it would be cute to get a picture of Zachary inside a pumpkin. We lined the pumpkin with orange t-shirts to make it more comfy, but he still wasn't a fan of sitting in there.

On Halloween, Ryan was sick, so he stayed home with me and didn't walk in the school costume parade. Below is a picture of Connor and his 7th grade buddy.

The kids had a blast trick or treating and Ryan was well enough to go too.

Cub Scout Wild West Round Up

On Saturday we went to the Cub Scout Wild West Round Up. The kids had a blast. The kids made boats to race by blowing on the sail.

They learned archery. Connor was so thrilled he hit the target.


They learned how to shoot BB guns.
Ryan got two holes in his target and Connor got one.
They also learned how to tie knots and made ice cream by shaking it in a plastic bag of ice and salt.

First Bath

Zachary's belly button stump finally fell off today at 3 weeks 3 days old. So, what does that mean... bath time! When he first got into the water, he wasn't so sure about it.

But, then he realized it wasn't so bad and actually enjoyed laying in the warm water. Ryan was supervising the whole procedure to see what was going on.
When we got to washing the hair, he wasn't so sure again and just looked at me in the "what are you doing" expression.
He was happy to get all snugly when the bath was done.

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to Spina Farms to get pumpkins.

Connor, Ryan and Zachary all picked out a pumpkin to take home. Ok, so Zachary needed a little help to pick his out, but he got a little one because he is little. Connor and Ryan could pick out any pumpkin they wanted as long as they could carry it themselves. That has been the pumpkin rule every year and it helps limit the cost by ensuring the kids choose the smaller size pumpkins.

Gilroy Gardens

Today we spent to the day at Gilroy Gardens. During October, they have trick or treating and a Halloween Scavenger Hunt. Notice all the spider webs and spiders in the below picture.

The boys got a treasure map when we entered the park with clues and we had to go all over the park to find the answers. Once the map was complete, the kids got a goodie bag.

Zachary was perfect all day. I carried him in the Moby Wrap and he slept pretty much the whole time.

After the scavenger hunt was done, the Connor and Ryan hit the rides. They were just barely tall enough for this one. It was so much fun, they had to go twice in a row.
Zachary was even able to go on the strawberry ride with us! Ed and Connor rode in a strawberry and Ryan, Zachary and I rode in another.We were all able to do the train ride too.

The cars were one of Connor and Ryan's favorite rides. This was our last ride of the day before the park closed at 5pm.
It was a fun day. Lets hope little Z lets me get some sleep tonight after such a busy day.

Three Weeks Old

Zachary is growing up quickly. He is already three weeks old!

First Doctor Appointment

Today was Zachary's first appointment with his pediatrician at 17 days old. Luckily there were no shots at this appointment. He will get those at his next appointment at 2 months. Zachary is growing and shrinking all at the same time.

He is now 20 3/4 inches long (46 percentile), which is down 1/4 inch since his birth measurement of 21 inches. I am assuming that it is because he is too wiggly to get an accurate measurement.

His weight is up to 8 lbs 1 oz (26 percentile). That is up from 7 lbs 5 oz a week ago and 6 lb 15 oz at birth.

His head circumference is 14.65 inches (47 percentile).

Star Student

This week Connor is star student. As star student, Connor had a project this weekend to make a poster of his favorite things, including a picture of himself and his family. Since we don't yet have any family pictures that include Zachary, Connor made us take a family picture in the backyard and pictures of him to put on his poster. Carnival

It's that time of year again... Carnival time!

This year was Zachary's first carnival. He slept through most of it.

In a couple years all three boys will be fighting over the ride and game tickets. But for now, Zachary was content just being there and let his older brothers have all the fun on the rides.
