Uh-Oh

Looks like we may have another thumb sucker. Hopefully Z doesn't keep at it as long as Connor, who still sucks his thumb at 6 years old. Connor will only suck his right thumb and so far Z has only sucked his left thumb.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, we went down to Arroyo Grande. During our visit, we saw Tania, Matt, Anna, Olivier and Mason. The kids had fun playing together. Anna enjoyed "playing" with Zachary, even if he didn't play much.
We even managed to get a picture of all six kids.
I think Eli thought that I put the blanket on the ground for him. He enjoyed napping with Zachary.

Chris and Carol were also up for Thanksgiving and Uncle Chris got to meet his newest nephew.
Connor is now in chess club and enjoys playing chess, so he tried to convincing everyone to play chess with him. Luckily Granny and Grandpa now have a chess board for him to use during our visits.

Santa

We saw Santa today! The boys were so excited to tell him what they want for Christmas this year. Connor told him he wants the game, Sorry, and Ryan wants Lego Walkie Talkies.

Rohnert Park

Yesterday we drove up to Rohnert Park to visit Ed's family. The cousins had fun playing together.
The boys talked Great Grandma into playing Uno with them.
Zachary got to meet his great grandmas (Ed's grandmas) for the first time.

It was a fun trip. Zachary wasn't too excited about all the stop lights going through 19th Avenue in San Francisco, but all in all he did pretty good on the drive. Best of all, last night we got home around 8pm. Zachary ate before we put him to bed and he slept all the way until 5am!!! Woohoo. Keep it up kiddo.

Comparison

Here is a picture of Ryan at 3 months and Zachary at 2 months. Any similarities?

2 months old

Zachary is 2 months old today. Time sure does fly! He now weighs 11 lbs 5 oz. He has a doctor appointment on Friday and will get his first set of shots.
His sleeping seems to be getting better at night. Last night he went to bed at 7pm, woke up at 1:30am and 6:30am to eat (instead of his typical 12, 3, 5am wake ups). It was nice he waited until 6:30 because my alarm goes off at 6:30 anyways to get Connor and Ryan ready for school.
He has rolled over twice now and he is getting stronger doing tummy time.
Yesterday we went to Las Palmas Park to watch Ryan play soccer. Zachary enjoyed the action.
It isn't easy to get all three in a picture together.
Last weekend we went down to Arroyo Grande and he went to his first birthday party (Happy Birthday Olivier and Mason!).

Here is a picture of Zachary and Eli napping together. Aren't they sweet!

7 weeks old

Little Z isn't so little anymore. He is now 7 weeks old and yesterday he weighed 10 lbs 15 oz. He has outgrown his newborn clothes and now wears size 0-3 month clothes and size 1 diapers.

He is getting into a pretty good rhythm during the day. He will eat, then be up for about an hour or so, then nap and repeat. During the day he eats about every 2-3 hours. At night he eats every 3-4 hours. He still sleeps in the bassinet in our room at night. During the day he takes most naps in his crib, but will also nap on walks, while shopping, in the swing, or in my arms. Like his brothers, he is not a fan of the car and will only fall asleep in his car seat after first throwing a fit, which can be the whole drive to school in the mornings.
He is getting better at tummy time, although if he is tired when we try to do tummy time, he will fall asleep, like in this picture.
Otherwise he will tolerate it for a few minutes at a time before getting frustrated.

He loves to watch the baby in the mirror and it can entertain him for quite a while.
He is generally a happy baby, as long as he isn't hungry or tired.

Here is a video of Zachary *trying* to rollover. He thinks if he leans his head to the side enough, he will roll over. Pretty soon...
