4 month appointment

Zachary had his 4 month doctor appointment today, which also means he got shots. He was not happy with those three pricks in his little thighs. We gave him infant Tylenol and he has been sleeping a lot of the day, but when he is not asleep, he is crying. Poor guy. He has been getting lots of cuddles today.

Weight: 14 lbs 10.5 oz (43 percentile)

Height: 24 inches (16 percentile)

Head: 16 inches (I didn't get the percentile on this)

Busy Tooth Fairy

The tooth fairy has been keeping busy lately with Connor and Ryan. BOTH Connor and Ryan lost a tooth tonight. Ryan also lost a tooth two days ago, so he is down two teeth for the weekend.

Hopefully that is all for awhile. I don't think they have any more wiggly ones and they are even with what they have each lost. They have both lost two on the top and four on the bottom.

4 month photo shoot

We went for Zachary's 4 month photo shoot today. The first is a comparison of Zachary, Ryan and Connor at 4 months.

Feet

Hmmmm... What is this? Looks like Zachary found a new toy.

His feet were keeping him entertained for quite a while tonight.

He got pretty close to rolling over from back to front while playing with his feet.

Yesterday Zachary had his first real laugh. I love baby laughs!

Family Game Night

Tonight we played Sorry for family game night. Zachary enjoyed watching too.

Hiking

It is January, so it is suppose to be cold and rainy. Instead it has been sunny and warm. I guess mother nature is a bit confused. Zachary and I have been taking advantage of the beautiful weather and spending time outside and hiking.

Last week we spent every day on the Rancho San Antonio trails. We saw deer every day.

Luckily, Zachary loves his stroller and will sleep in it for hours as I walk. This is very different from Connor and Ryan, who would never sleep in a stroller.

Today we walked 10 miles on the Sawyer Creek Trail. This was one of my favorite trails because it is a long and scenic trail. It is mostly flat, so it was a nice change from the hilly trails at Rancho San Antonio.

At least I enjoyed the scenery, Zachary slept through most of it.

Zachary loves to be outside in the fresh air and so do I. It is nice the weather is cooperating so we can enjoy some time outdoors together before I go back to work in a couple weeks.

Training with the Divas

On Saturday we went to the monthly Red Diva training at the Coyote Creek Trail. There is a new couch to 5k program and the whole family decided to join the group training to run a 5k. It was really Connor and Ryan's idea because they want to train to improve their 5k time. Below is a picture of Connor and Ryan with Coach Vincent. Connor and Ryan weaseled their way into the co-coaching position.

If I knew we would be running instead of walking, I would have used the jogging stroller instead of the bjorn carrier.
But, Zachary didn't mind. All the bouncing just put him to sleep.
We are running our next 5k on St. Patricks Day.

New Toys

We pulled out the exersaucer after Christmas since Zachary can now touch the floor when he is in it. He loves standing, spinning around and looking at all the toys. Connor and Ryan enjoy playing with the toys too.

Zachary got Scout for Christmas. He loves it!

These sunglasses worked for a few minutes.... Zachary didn't seem to mind them too much, but they kept sliding down his face, so I guess we have to wait until they fit better for him to wear them. It was a cute picture anyways.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! It is now 2012 and looking back at 2011, it was a great year. At this time last year, we didn't even know about Zachary and now I can't imagine it any other way. Here are some pictures from today, January 1. Zachary is becoming more interested in toys and grasping them.

We went for a walk this afternoon and the boys rode their scooters. These are a couple pictures from our walk. It is easy to tell them apart. Ryan is the one with the black eye.
