Just some random pics of Zachary

Here are some random pics of Zachary having fun crawling around.
 Looks like trouble!
I think he is trying to do a yoga pose here.
 Always smiling...

Earthquake Challenge 5k

Today was the Earthquake Challenge 5k with the Red Power Divas.
We got to see the Earthquake mascot at the start of the race. He looks like a cross between a smurf and a Muppet if you ask me.
Connor ran with me and we ran 30 second intervals (30 seconds running, 30 seconds walking). That worked well for Connor. Our average pace was 12:30 min/mile and Connor would have gotten a PR if the course was accurate, but we ended up closer to 4 miles instead of 3.1 miles. We finished in 48 minutes. Ed was with Ryan and Zachary and they finished the 4 miles in 1 hour 8 minutes. Here is Ryan, Ed and Zachary crossing the finish line.

And, here we are after the race.... we did it!
It was a fun day.

A Friend

This morning, Zachary woke up early and he was my "helper" while I did yoga. He had fun playing with the baby in the mirror and playing peek a boo.

We had to lower Zachary's crib tonight. He didn't want to go to bed because he just wanted to pull himself up and stand in his crib. He does love to play peek-a-boo. Take a look at the video from tonight.

8 Months Old

Zachary is 8 months old already. He wears size 2 and 3 diapers (we are trying to use up the last of our size 2s). He wears size 6-9 month clothes, but some of those are getting too short on him. We will be bringing out the size 12 month clothes soon. He is finally sleeping through the night. His bedtime is 7pm although some nights he is in bed as early at 6pm. He will usually wake up between 4-5am to nurse, then go back to sleep until 6:30-7am.  He knows how to turn on Scout by himself and I will often hear Scout playing music before Zachary starts to cry to get out of his crib. He usually takes two naps, typically not more than an hour each. He is a happy baby. He is crawling all over the place. He is trying to pull himself up. He loves to sit up and will crawl, then sit, then crawl again. He has pulled himself up in his crib (we are going to need to lower it soon). He is still in his infant carseat. He drinks breastmilk and eats a variety of foods. He loves to feed himself, and makes a mess doing it.
