Sedona

To celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, Ed and I spent a week in Sedona, AZ while Connor and Ryan had fun with Granny and Grandpa. We arrived in Sedona on Sunday, July 24. On Monday we poked around the local shops, enjoyed the swimming pools and sat through a two hour timeshare presentation. On Tuesday we went to Jerome and looked around the town and shops. In Jerome, we saw Hotel Connor and had to take a picture of it for Connor.

On Wednesday, we took a Trolley tour around Sedona to learn about the area.

One of these days, maybe I will win the lottery so I can afford a house like this. One day...

It has been hot with threats of thunderstorms, but so far we haven't had any rain.

We visited the Chapel of the Holy Cross. Very beautiful and impressive.
We saw Snoopy rock! Can you see it?

On Thursday, we went to Camp Verde to visit Montezuma Castle.

It got up to 106 degrees today. HOT!

Tomorrow we will start our drive back home...

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! It was a good weekend. We spent the weekend in Arroyo Grande to spend time with Granny and Grandpa as well as my aunt, uncle and cousins who were also there. On Saturday the whole gang (all 14 of us!) went to see Cars 2 at the theater.

On Saturday afternoon we walked down to Shell Beach. The four older kids enjoyed wading in the water and jumping the waves.

Jianna wasn't too sure of the sand and didn't want to touch it.

I actually managed to get a picture with all six kids. Jianna wasn't too happy sitting in the sand, so it was a quick picture. Everyone isn't looking at the camera, but they are all in the frame. Can't ask for much more than that.

On Saturday evening the kids had fun with sparklers. The 4th of July isn't until Monday, but we wouldn't be there for the 4th, so we celebrated early while everyone was together.

On Monday, we were back home and the kids enjoyed pool time. I moved their slide to the pool, so they had a water slide. It was a warm day, so it was perfect day to enjoy the water.

We can't forget about little Z. His room is coming along. Ed painted the blue today, so the room is almost done.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day, Ed. We love you!

Ed was at Sacramento once again this year for Father's Day, so the kids and I drove to Sac for the day to wish Ed a Happy Father's Day. The kids brought water guns and their bikes to play with in the afternoon while Ed worked.
The Summer weather is definitely here. It is hot...

Kindergarten Graduation

Today was kindergarten graduation.

The kids sang songs before getting their diploma.

Connor and Ryan's 8th grade buddies (Darren and Elias) came to graduation and gave them a special graduation gift.

Below is a picture of their teachers, Mrs. Schwoob and Mrs. Caropepe.

For comparison, here is a picture from the first day of school with their teacher.

Happy Graduation Connor and Ryan!

Teddy Bear Picnic

The day before Kindergarten graduation was the Teddy Bear Picnic. It was a fun day with the picnic at the school playground so the kids could play and eat and they sang two teddy bear songs.

Little League Day at AT&T Park

Today we went to Little League Day at AT&T Park to see the SF Giants game.
The game started at 1pm and we had pre-game admission at 9:30am for Q&A session with some of the Giant coaches and players.

Then, we got to walk around the field to see it close up. Some of the players were even on the field practicing.

The kids were excited to see the Giants game and the Giants won!
