Bikes

The boys are enjoying the bikes they got for Christmas.

Ryan has figured out how to balance pretty well on his bike.

And Connor keeps complaining that Ryan is going too fast, so I end up carrying his bike as he pouts and Ryan races away.

wii

We played wii boxing tonight for the first time. The boys loved it. Connor and Ryan each have their own style. Take a look at the videos below to see their boxing techniques. Connor looks pretty funny boxing, but he did pretty good at knocking out his opponent. Now, we just have to get a second nunchuck so the boys can box each other, or Mom and Dad.

The first video is Connor and the second is Ryan.

Discovery Kingdom

Yesterday we went to Discovery Kingdom with Len, Mary, Dani and Cody. We were there from 11am til 6pm. The kids loved it and didn't want to leave at the end of the day. Below is Ryan while riding the spinning balloon ride. It was one of his favorites.Below is Connor getting ready to ride the Road Runner Express roller coaster. It was a sunny, but cold day. Amazingly, the boys kept their hats on all day long.
Below is Ed and Ryan on the roller coaster. It was interesting which rides the boys chickened out on. They loved the roller coaster and even wanted to go on the roller coasters that they weren't tall enough for. But, they both chickened out on the swings, carousel, and whale ride. Connor chickened out on the spinning balloons (one of Ryan's favorites) the first time around, but went the second time.

Below are some pictures with Connor, Ryan, Cody and Danielle.

On the way home we stopped for dinner. Both Connor and Ryan fell asleep in the car (a very rare occurrence). And even more amazing was that they were so far gone when we got home that we put them in bed, took off their many layers of clothes, put their pajamas on and tucked them in bed without them waking up at all. The day tired them out and they slept in until 9am the next morning. It was a fun trip.

Visit with Matt, Tania and Anna

Matt, Tania and Anna spent 3 days with us to celebrate the New Year. This was Anna's first New Years.

Connor and Ryan were very good about sharing their toys with Anna. It was cute to watch the three kids interact. The boys were disappointed when they woke up from their nap on Friday and Anna was gone. They wanted her to stay longer to play!

Happy New Year

Happy 2009 to all.

Connor, Ryan and Anna rung in the new year tucked safely in their beds. We went to Border's New Year's Eve party and the kids made party hats and noise makers. Matt, Tania, Ed, and I stayed up ALL THE WAY til midnight enjoying the night with a movie, playing Rumi Cube, playing wii, and sparkling wine.

I hope everyone has a blessed new year.

Christmas in Arroyo Grande

On December 26, we drove down to Arroyo Grande for another Christmas celebration.
The boys were excited about opening more gifts. Above is Connor bringing me a present. Below is Grandpa showing Ryan his wiggle car. It didn't work so well on the carpet, so they went outside to play.
Chris got the boys the Hungry Hungry Hippo game. It was a quick favorite and the four boys played it many times that weekend. Even Eli tried to get in on the fun.
On Sunday Tania, Matt, Anna and Jill came over. Eli was very gentle with Anna crawling around.

I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas like we did.

Christmas in Rohnert Park

Santa Claus found us in Rohnert Park. Below is a picture of the new bikes that Santa left for Connor and Ryan. It was cold and wet outside, so they rode their bikes inside on Christmas.
Below is a picture of Connor reading with Great Gramma.
Below are the three musketeers goofing around.
... and here is all four boys. Tyler is a year old and getting so big. He tries his hardest to keep up with the older boys.

Christmas Eve at PG&E

On Christmas Eve morning, we went to Ed's office in San Ramon for breakfast and to see Santa. It was very nice of Santa to stop by PG&E on Christmas Eve morning, since this is such a busy day for him.
Above is a picture of us by the large snowglobe while waiting for Santa to arrive.

Ryan was being shy, so I had to be in the picture as well. Santa gave all the kids coloring books and crayons.

Train around the tree

I set up the ride-on-train to go around our Christmas tree today.

The boys have't stopped riding the train since I set it up after dinner tonight. When I set it up, I told them that it would go away as soon as they started fighted over it, so they have been sharing perfectly!
Here are two videos of Connor and Ryan with the train.
