Tahoe

We went to spend a long weekend in Tahoe with Granny and Grandpa in April. I guess we got in trouble a bit too much, because we were a wanted bunch. 

Connor and Ryan got caught and put in jail. The rest of us got away!

It snowed while we were there and there was enough snow on the mountain to play in.

 Zachary thought it was too cold and wanted to be held instead.

7 months old

Zachary is now 7 months old. He is still a happy little guy. He is enjoying all kinds of fruits and veggies. Applesauce is his favorite. He is crawling and can stand holding on to things. He is stable when he sits. He has two teeth. He still drools a lot. He is starting to get a little hair, but is still mostly bald. He goes to bed at 7pm and just started to sleep through the night on his 7 month birthday. He slept from 7pm to 5am. Now, we are just hoping he keeps that up. He wears size 2 diapers. He wears size 6-9 month clothes, but some of the footie one piece pajamas are getting too short, so he will be in 12 month clothes soon.

6 month doc appt

Today Zachary had his 6 month doctor appointment. This means, he also got three shots. He wasn't too happy about that and was pretty fussy all afternoon. His appointment went well and the doc says he is looking good.

His current measurements are:

Weight: 17 lbs 2.5 oz, 37 percentile (compared to 43 percentile at 4 mos)

Height: 2'3.25", 72 percentile (compared to 16 percentile at 4 mos)

Head: 17.6", 74 percentile (compared to 12 percentile at 4 mos)

And the tooth that came in yesterday is actually two teeth. Both his bottom teeth came in at the same time.

Happy 7th Birthday!

It's birthday time! Connor and Ryan are 7 years old today. They had their birthday party on Saturday at Chuck E Cheese.

We celebrated three birthdays. Connor (7), Ryan (7) and Cody (9)

Connor got the 1000 ticket when he went in the air chamber.
And since today is Connor and Ryan's real birthday, we had to have cake again...
The boys were excited to go to school today because they got the birthday dance and birthday spankings. They also got to wear free dress today. They got to pick out what they wanted for dinner and they chose beef top ramon noodles, sliced apples and a slice of american cheese with a cup of milk. We have such gourmet kids.

First tooth

After being really fussy yesterday, it looks like Zachary's first tooth (make that two) is coming in on the bottom. Tomorrow is his 6 month doctor appointment, so he will be getting more shots.

On the Move

Zachary is starting to move more. Here is a video of him today moving to get to his toys. It isn't really a crawl yet, but he can pull himself forward.

Light of Christ Ceremony

Today was the Light of Christ ceremony for the scouts. Last November Connor and Ryan turned in their workbook to complete all the requirements to earn their Light of Christ medal. Today they got the medal at a ceremony in the cathedral in downtown San Jose. This is a picture of the boys from their pack that received the award today.

Go Green 5k

On St. Patrick's Day, we ran the Go Green 5k. It was Zachary's first 5k, well it was his first outside of me anyhow. There was threats of rain, but luckily it stayed dry during the race. It was quite cold, though.

I ran with Connor and Ryan and Ed pushed the stroller.

The course was a bit off this year again with the volunteers providing inaccurate directions, but it was still fun.
We all "won" and got medals.
Running a 5k was so exhausting, Zachary decided he needed a nap.

6 months

Happy Half Birthday to Zachary!

Zachary is now 6 months old. He can sit up for short periods of time. He is starting to roll over more often. He likes to blow raspberries. He likes to smile. He likes to play with his feet.

He likes to eat. So far he has had rice cereal, oatmeal, avocado, banana, green beans, peas, butternut squash, carrots, chicken, ham. He is a happy baby.

He still wakes up at night. He likes to hold his toys. He chews on everything and puts everything in his mouth. He has no teeth. He has no hair (or very little). He is in size 2 diapers. He wears 6-9 month clothes. He drools like crazy

Guacamole

Zachary got to eat guacamole (aka. avocado) today.

He started out clean, but it didn't last long. He didn't want anything to do with me feeding him. Zachary wanted to do it all by himself.

You know it is good when you have avocado everywhere, even your feet.
Looks like bath time now...
