This is the first picture I took. We just arrived at the San Francisco port and Ed forgot something in the car, so I waited in a waiting room at the pier with Connor and Ryan while Ed went back to the car. That is our boat in the background! The boys were excited to see it.
And, this is our room. We had an outside cabin with a window and our room connects with Granny and Grandpa. The purple couch by the window pulls out and that is where the boys slept. I made the boys t-shirts that say "my first cruise" for them to wear on the first day.
In the picture below, the boys are smiling with their life vests on for the required drill, but that didn't last long. They did not like those life vests at all. I don't blame them, the adult vests look more comfortable than the kids vests.
The ship sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge as we left San Francisco. It sure was windy!
Below is Ryan playing around at lunch time.
And Connor is playing around too!
It was cold, but we enjoyed some time out on the deck. These are the t-shirts that I made them. A lot of people noticed their names on the shirt, and said hi to them by name.
Our maitre d made a rabbit out of a napkin for Ryan.
And yes, we did get all dressed up. Don't we look good :)

The first day at sea was a bit rocky due to the storm. Below is a video of the swimming pool water splashing around. Connor and Ryan decided it was safer to crawl on the stairs so they wouldn't fall.
While we were in our room and leaving Astoria, the yellow pilot boat went right by our window. The kids liked that, but when it was gone, they wanted it to come back. They kept asking for the yellow boat to come back.
In Seattle, Steve met us at the ship and showed us around. Connor and Ryan had fun with Steve.
In Seattle the boys got their face painted. Ryan chose Lightning McQueen from "Cars" and Connor chose a killer whale jumping out of the water.
In Victoria, we walked from the ship to downtown on a waterfront path. There were lots of boats and airplanes on the water. Below is a picture from our walk along the waterfront.
When we let Connor and Ryan walk instead of push them in a stroller, it always takes longer to get somewhere. There were flowers everywhere in Victoria, and Connor and Ryan had to stop to smell all the flowers! The tulips were pretty!
Below is Granny with Connor and Ryan before dinner.

And here we are all dressed up. It was cold and windy outside! We went right back inside after this picture.
Aren't we a cute couple :)
Connor and Ryan didn't like sitting still for the long dinners, so after a couple nights, we got smart and brought coloring books for them to keep them quiet.
Connor went a little overboard with those markers. At least they were Crayola washable markers (and yes, we have learned that Crayola cleans up easier than others!), so his face cleaned up easily.
Ha! We were able to get a picture of Chris! He isn't one that likes his picture taken, so getting a picture can be difficult. My Uncle Dennis is posing next to Chris.

The boys enjoyed playing shuffle board. They didn't know what the game was all about, but they sure enjoyed pushing the pucks with a stick.
Ryan smiling!
On our last day at sea, I took Connor and Ryan swimming in the indoor pool.
I was surprised how easily the boys shared a bed. They didn't push or kick each other in bed. Most nights they were so tired, that they fell asleep right away.

On our last morning, we woke up to see the sunrise as we sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge. This picture was taken from our room.
Connor and Ryan always have to hold their hands up when we drive under bridges, so Connor is holding his hands up as we sail under the bridge. Ryan is still curled up still sleeping. It is too early!
Connor and Ryan weren't too cooperative for a family photo, but here it is anyways.
And, I got another photo of Chris! If you look carefully at the picture you will notice that the shirt Connor is wearing says "Ryan" on it. I made the mistake of packing Ryan's "my first cruise" shirt and a red shirt to wear home. Ryan always insists on wearing the red shirt, so he insisted on that one, leaving Connor with is "Ryan" shirt. Connor didn't notice until breakfast when he looked down at his shirt and started complaining that it was Ryan's shirt (they know how to spell their name and can recognize letters). He tried to take his shirt off at breakfast, but luckily, I was able to distract him so he forgot about the shirt.
