April 5-12 we went on a cruise from San Francisco to Astoria, Seattle, Vancouver, and Victoria. It was Connor and Ryan's first cruise experience. The sea got pretty rough in the beginning, and luckily Connor and Ryan don't get sea sick (and neither do we!). The ship got so rocky that Connor and Ryan thought it was safer to crawl up and down the stairs instead of walk or fall down them. Ryan even fell out of bed on the roughest night. Luckily we opted for the room that had the pull out love seat that Connor and Ryan slept on instead of the bunk beds. Falling from a bunk bed wouldn't be any fun! More pictures will come soon, but I thought I would post our "photo shoot" pictures now. These are the pictures we took on board with the professional photographers.
The pictures with the green shirts are from the day we were in Seattle. The kids got their face painted in Seattle. Ryan chose a picture of Lightning McQueen from Cars and Connor chose a picture of an killer whale.
The red bracelets that you will notice the boys wearing are mandatory for all kids on cruise ships and it identifies our muster station so if the boys are separated from us in an emergency, the ship staff will get the kids to the right location to meet up with us. The kids were not thrilled with wearing the bracelets, but they stayed on all week.
