Christmas in RP

Whew, Christmas #3. It has been a busy month! The kids were excited to get more presents. But, they were also excited to see Grandma and Grandpa and play with their cousins.
Grandma brought out Ed's old legos to lay with, and look who is putting them together while Connor and Ryan play. Grandma and Ed!
Grandma reading to all three boys.
I was surprised how much Cody enjoyed playing with Zachary. He interacts with Zachary much more than Connor and Ryan do.
Ryan got walkie talkies for Christmas and they were playing with them all weekend. In this picture, Connor was showing Great Grandma how to use the walkie talkie.
While in Rohnert Park, Connor lost a tooth. The tooth was so wiggly, it was barely hanging on, but Connor was scared to pull it himself. It was finally Ryan who pulled it out for him. Here is the video.

I think he was a bit surprised that it finally came out.
He was happy that the tooth fairy was going to come. He lost the tooth at the park and he had to carefully carry his tooth as we walked back to Grandma and Grandpa's house so he didn't drop it.
Ryan couldn't be left out. The next day we went back to the park, but instead of losing a tooth at the park, he got hit in the face with a baseball bat and got a black eye.
After all the battle wounds, Christmas is over and we can move on to New Years.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! This year we were home for Christmas and Santa came to our house. Zachary slept in his crib in his room for the first night and did well. He only woke up at 1:30 and 5:30am. Unfortunately, Connor and Ryan also heard Zachary at 5:30am, so we were all up. Connor and Ryan were excited to see that Santa came.
Zachary was quite content to just lay in this box and watch all the action.
Zachary was asleep again at 6:30am, so Ed and I took advantage of it and went back to sleep while Connor and Ryan played with all their toys. By the time we woke up again, Connor was asleep in the living room.
In the afternoon, we went to the park so the boys could ride their new scooters. It was sunny, but COLD!
Zachary got to go on a swing at the park for the first time.

Christmas Eve

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, kids were excited and bouncing off the walls.

We went to the 5pm Christmas Eve mass tonight. Connor and Ryan sang in the children's choir during mass. In the below picture, you can see Zachary was sound asleep and Connor and Ryan are with the group of kids at the front singing.
After church, the kids got in their pajamas and had to make sure to unlock the fireplace (it has a child lock to keep the door closed) so Santa can get in tonight. Connor and Ryan had to take turns looking up the fireplace to see if Santa was coming down yet.
Waiting...
Connor had to make sure the plate of cookies and carrots (for the reindeer) was perfect. We also left milk for Santa. Ryan had to add a note saying "for Santa" so he knew the goodies were for him.
Now all three kids are tucked away in bed dreaming about what Santa will leave.

Santa at PG&E

On the Friday before Christmas, we went to Ed's office for their family Christmas party. All the boys got to meet Santa and tell them what is on their wish list.Connor and Ryan were excited that this is the third time that they got to see Santa this year. They saw him at the mall, at school, and at Ed's office.

Mini Santa got all tuckered out and had to take a nap after meeting Santa.
Connor and Ryan got to wear the PG&E safety hats.

Pinewood Derby Cars

While in Arroyo Grande, Grandpa helped Connor and Ryan make their pinewood derby cars for cub scouts. Connor and Ryan started by drawing their car design on the wood.
Grandpa used his saw to cut the car designs. Then Connor and Ryan sanded their cars.

They each picked out the color for their car and spray painted it.
Connor picked light blue and Ryan picked red.
After the paint was dry, they drew the details on their car.

The final products!

Christmas in Arroyo Grande

This year we celebrated the week before Christmas in Arroyo Grande.

Chris and Carol were also there to celebrate with us. Don't you like Chris' bow. I think Carol is the only person who could get away with putting that bow on Chris.
On Tuesday, we went to see Jill and she suggested we visit her Dad at work and we could get a private tour of the fire station.
Connor and Ryan were in heaven climbing in all the trucks and exploring the station.

Afterwards, we went to Oceano to feed the ducks.

Merry Christmas!

3 months old

Happy 3 month birthday to Zachary!
Zachary is now 13 lbs, one more pound and he will be double his birth weight. He wears 0-3 month clothes and size 1 diapers, although we will be moving up to the next size clothes and diapers soon.

Sleep is getting better. He has slept through the night multiple times, but he does not do it consistently. His best so far was a couple days ago when he did two nights in a row sleeping from 9pm to 7am. He still sleeps in his bassinet at night.

Zachary is also a pretty good napper during the day. When I am home, he usually sleeps in his crib. When I am out and about, he will sleep in his car seat.

Yesterday, I took Zachary to Picture People for his 3 month pictures and these are the three we bought. I love the tongue on the first one.

For his first Christmas, I made footprint reindeer. He wasn't a fan of getting cold paint on his feet or putting his feet on the paper.

I was finally able to capture Zachary rolling over on video. He loves to coo and "talk" and smile at everyone.
